What's Included in a Plan Set
- Drawn to a 1/4 inch scale or 1/8 inch scale depending on the size of the house.
Scale will be called out on the plans. - Foundation Plan
Most plans include a slab foundation, however many plans have available options for crawl space, basement, or piling foundation. If the desired foundation is not offered as an existing option for a particular plan, modification services are available to meet those needs. - Floor Plan
- Exterior elevations (a minimum of 4)
- Door and Window Schedule
- Roof Plan
- Floor Joist Plan (if required)
- Wall sections/details
- Building sections/details
Our plans generally offer either concrete block or 2 x 6 wood frame construction. We offer modification services to convert to/from concrete block, wood frame, or other construction types.
Most plans DO NOT include:
The following items are typically provided by locally licensed tradespersons, as part of their standard fee. Your builder will coordinate these with you.
- Electrical Plan**
- Plumbing Plan**
- HVAC Plan**
We recommend that all plans be engineered by a local engineer or architect who will incorporate any property-specific details and local requirements. Some localities require this.
